Lead Gardener

Sam has dedicated the past twenty years to the Search and Rescue sector, volunteering with the RNLI and working full-time for HM Coastguard. During his tenure with the Coastguard, Sam managed volunteers at Beer, Exmouth, and Dawlish, providing training, maintaining equipment, and attending incidents in both operational and tactical roles.

He has always found time in the garden to be restorative, both mentally and physically—whether gardening, mowing the lawn, or relaxing with family and friends.

Sam decided it was time to retire his uniform and pursue a less stressful career that combines his passion for gardens with a balanced focus on family life and wellbeing.

He holds City & Guilds qualifications and is currently working towards RHS certifications.
